Placed in the gulf of Giens between Toulon and Hyères, Carqueiranne is a small Provencal fishing port. With 7 km of sandy beaches and sunny creeks, Carqueiranne is also a sport seaside resort which has a reputation for its microclimate. Between the massif of the 'Birds Mountain' where the observatory of the Fairies’ peak is situated - and the hill of “Colle Noire” where you can visit a typical napoleonic fort called “La Bayarde”.

The domain of the Eolienne is close to places -such as Almanarre beach- which are renowned for windsurfing, kite surfing, diving – scuba diving and snorkling-for activities of water sport, fishing, cycle touring, hiking as well as the numerous activities the harbours of Carqueiranne and Hyeres have to offer.


The peninsula of Giens and its former salterns known for a particular flora and fauna will allow you to observe certain sorts of migratory birds such as majestic pink flamingos. It faces the golden islands : Port-Cros nature reserve, Porquerolles and the Levant with professional passenger transport services at your disposal all year round for crossings to the islands or for day-trips around all three islands.
